how it works
There are two main functions that makes Silhouette Soft® Thread Lift such a popular choice among clients. The first concerns the actual application process itself; by skillfully inserting the thread at specific points under your skin, this procedure can give your face an immediate lifting and tightening effect, compensating for previous loss of volume. Furthermore, the procedure also allows us to subtly reshape your problem areas by compressing and elevating the skin’s tissue using the thread.
Silhouette Soft®’s other key function is that it produces a gradual and natural regenerating effect that continues long after treatment. Comprising of polylactic acid, the thread is slowly and naturally absorbed into the skin after application. This process triggers your body’s collagen cells to produce even further collagen and help restore lost volume to the face, thus slowing – and even reversing – the aging process.

what to expect
New patients will undergo a consultation with one of Kimiko Medical Aesthetic's specialists. After undergoing a Silhouette Soft® Thread Lift, you'll likely notice an immediate lifting and tightening effect, which will look natural and subtle. Initially, you may experience some mild discomfort, swelling, or bruising at the treatment site; however, these symptoms typically resolve within a few days.
As the threads are gradually absorbed by your body, they stimulate collagen production, leading to further improvements over the weeks following the procedure. Although you should be able to maintain your facial expressions and movements, it’s important to avoid strenuous activities and adhere to any post-treatment care instructions provided by your practitioner to ensure optimal results and minimize potential side effects.
In the long term, the collagen production induced by the threads will help restore lost volume and enhance skin texture, contributing to a more youthful appearance over time.
